Completed morning program. Visited Safdarjung hospital. In the chamber from about 1 to 2 pm. Attended condolence meeting at Assam house in connection with the sudden death of Shankar Barua. Late Barua committed suicide on 18th instant, He worked with me during my tenure of service in Assam Police. He belonged to 1974 batch of IPS, allotted to Assam-Meghalaya cadre. He had retired about 3 years back as the DG of Police Assam.
