Coronavirus cases reached 694 including 16 deaths and 45 recoveries in India. Supply of newspapers started. Due to lockdown it was disrupted for the last 2 days. On the 26th,second day of Navratri, Mata Brhmhcharini was worshipped. Today third goddess Mata Candraghanda has been worshipped by Venita.
There is largescale feeding of migrant labour and other poor people running into lacs all over India. Many schemes/financial packages are announced to help people with cash and rations..

Took Venita to Fortis Escorts hospital in the evening. According to her she had shooting pain in the chest. Doctors checked and discharged afer some tests. Her biochemistry report was  normal. We returned home after midnight. Babloo/Neha stood by us. They left along with Akshat after about 2 O'clock in the morning. They had come with three big suitcases (one for each), rations, anticipating longer stay at VV due to Venita's hospitalisation. Akshat had to take lessons on line and video calls from his teacher starting early morning at 8 am to 2 pm. As Neha was in the hospital, I had planned a sumptuous breakfast for him. He left for Gurugram. 
Corona toll reached 606 in India. PM Modi said "Mahabharat was won  in 18 days but this war against Coronavirus will take 21 days. Lord Krishna had guided the Pandava's to victory,the nation today is guided by 1.30 billion citizens."

There is complete shut down from today for 21 days. Driver could drive up to CGHS for indenting of Venita's medicine, prescribed by Dr. Jain of Fortis Escorts . He was checked at two places by police. On showing my slip that he was to go to CGHS to get medicine, he was allowed.

Venita discontinued services of the maid from today apprehending her to be a potential career of corona virus.
Corona toll reached 468 cases including 9 deaths and 35 recoveries in India. Curfew passes are required to enter Delhi.

Venita is in the process of collecting daily requirement so that she does not have to face shortages during impending Corona crisis.
Corona count hits 400 including three deaths and 68 new cases on the day in India. A number of districts are totally locked down.  As quite few are not properly locked down , PM Modi has suggested punitive  measures.
South Korean ambassador said in an interview to a news daily in India that only way to deal with corona crisis is to identify it and isolate the contagion.

Janata Curfew was observed today on PM Modi's call. Object is to inculcate a habit of social-distancing to prevent spread of coronavirus. Stayed back at home since yesterday. Few people are seen on the road. We applauded those who did duties during the day by clapping from windows, doors of the houses at 5 pm as suggested by Shri Modi It happened all over India.
Coronavirus Toll reached 283 with 4 deaths and 23 recoveries in India till today.

Neha/Babloo came in the afternoon. They agreed be present with Venita by rotation in the event of her hospitalisation.

As Venita's angina pain lingered, we met Dr.P. Jain, Head of the post-operative care department of Fortis Escorts. He prescribed medicines to contain pain and issued instructions for her admission in the hospital. We took time up to Monday the 23rd for the same.

As on date Coronavirus count is 151 including three deaths and 14 recoveries in India. France blocked entries of UK citizens . British PM Johnson  said that NHS was well equipped to deal with coronavirus cases. It just needed some manpower which could be provided as many employee were sitting idle due to stoppage of work in many areas.
Amolikaa's residential and Abhishree's local public school are closing from today. Babloo's WASP Noida office too may close soon.

In all 137 coronavirus cases are reported till today including 3 deaths and 14 recoveries in India. Govt allowed use of anti-HIV drugs for high risk coronavirus cases. There is a mad rush of students from India after all flights from UK are banned.
Khyati reached Switzerland from Sheffield yesterday safely. Dhruva,a relative,too reached Singapore from Michigan, a couple of days back.

Attended B.N. Mullik Memorial Lecture at IIC by Shri MK Naraynan,former Director IB and Governor UP. Over 50 members of Asripso attended besides Director IB. He advised officers not to get involved in policy matters of the Governt  and stick to truth. He also advised on operational matters.
Director IB, who is an Assam-Meghalaya cadre officer, invited us for dinner. It was attended mostly by ex-Directors of IB and some senior IB officers. He has lovely bungalow.

Corona cases rise to 79 in India. 79 year old Karnataka man is India's first corona virus death. He came from Saudi  Arabia.
UP government had pasted photos of accused of recent UP riot cases in a public place. H.C. Allahabad declared it illegal. Taking note of a ruling of the British Supreme court in this regard after 2010 riots,  the Supreme court of India agreed to examine the matter afresh by a larger judge bench.

In course of his elaborate and to the point reply yesterday to debate on recent Delhi riots in Lok Sabha, Amit Shah, Union HM revealed that over 300 people came from UP and attacked North-East Delhi people during riots, that there was conspiracy to cause disturbance during Donald Trumps' India visit, that the riots were funded by unlawful groups and that all such groups had been identified. Today is Holi. It is celebrated at low key due to coronavirus. Babloo/Neha/Akshat came to us yesterday and spent a couple of hours.

Visited ailing Dr. Prasad at Brigesh's flat, Dwarka yesterday. He is not well at all, can not talk clearly, can not  hear well, does not want to go to Lucknow, not happy with Subha going out leaving him at home with aid and appears to have lost control of himself completely. It is not possible for Subha to stay with him all the time. If she has to, she will go mad. She likes to socialise with friends and relations.
Corona are now about 39 cases including latest 5 from Kerala.
