Completed only walk. Had to leave for the H.C.early.at 9am.The court reduced the claim of the contractor significantly in the Society's arbitration case. The members won't have to pay any thing.. The liability will be met by the Society's FDRS., as far as i know.Met Vikas in the canteen He is engaging me in a case in which he is appearing on behalf of a client based in Dubai..In chamber from 12 to 4 pm. Completed note on Vipassna course from 7th to 18th  March. Hope to place it in the blog tomorrow.

27th March

Completed morning program.Visited PNB & CGHS. In chamber from 12 to 4.30 pm.On way back visited Hanuman temple in Chanakyapuri.We have to be in the High Court by 10.30 am tomorrow in connection with the Arbitration case of the Arunodaya Society.
Retired to sleep at 9.30 pm.

26th March

Could go for about 2 km. walk only. Had to go to court early. In the H.C. whole day. Kapoor & co. have been handling the Arunoday Society's Arbitration case for over a decade. Kapoor's understanding of the case is not upto the mark.  Senior Advocate Maninder Singh who is engaged to argue the case is good We hope he will deliver the  goods and argue the case on 28th well.
Retired to sleep at 10 pm.

25th March

Completed morning program. Maloy rang up and informed that a group of pensioners desired to engage KTS  to argue their case n the High Court in an appeal against the order of Cat.They would meet me with all the connected files.Prakash informed of a get-together of IPS 1964 batch on 19th April.
In his Convocation address in DU, Sam Pitroda said that teachers need not be creative now.In view of the internet and availability of information, they should rather be mentors of their students.A new idea, to bridge wide gap in student-teacher relationship.
Another idea was floated by Lord Shah in the contest of failure of Rahul Gandhi to woo votes for the Congress. He said that one had to invent the self that would sell.

24th March

Completed morning program.Attended a conference with Sr.Advocate Maninder Singh in the matter of appeal in Arbitration case of Arunodaya group housing socidety case in the evening from 7.15 to 8.15 pm. in his chamber at Jungpura. The appeal is listed for hearing on 26th.
Chetan Bhagat in TOI editorial page dated 24th March, has listed three qualities for a successful carrier in Politics: Morality,Governance,and Art of politics, a combination  of all  the three.
Retired to sleep at 10 pm.

22nd March, 2012

Completed morning program. Visited Safdarjung Hospital to meet Dr. Lalwani, Eye Consultant. Met Vikas Pahwah, Sr. Advocate and had a cup of coffee in Cafe Coffee Day at Joarbagh. Had a conference with Sr. Advocate Maninder Singh in connection with an appeal in the High Court of Delhi. The appeal relates to an Arbitration case relating to Arunoday Housing Society.Returned along with Sh. R. N. Bhardwaj at about 9 PM. Retried to sleep at 10.30 PM.

21rst March

Completed only walk. Got otherwise busy. Visited PNB.A cheque issued for payment of telephone bill bounced as i wrote something in figures and another thing in words. I had to issue another cheque with late fee. In chamber from 1.30 to 4.30 pm.Retired to sleep at 10 PM.

19th and 20th March

On 19th 
Completed morning program.In Chamber from 12 to 1.45 PM. Visited Escorts Hospital to meet Dr. Ashok Seth. He did not come to the hospital due to sickness Dr. Kumar, his junior, saw the reports and said to go throw the process of tests again after 1 year and meet Dr. Seth. He said that there was nothing significant. I should continue the same medicines.Returned Chamber at 6 PM. Retired to sleep at 11 PM.

Completed morning program. Visited SBI. In Chamber from 1.30 to 4 PM.Retired to sleep at 10.30 PM

6th March

Completed morning program. Visited SBI. In chamber from 12 to 3.30 pm Had conference with NM Associates and Advocates in the matter of Society's arbitration case.Visited Precision Dental Center.
On way back visited Hanuman temple in Chanakyapuri.
News of the day: While SAD+ won in Punjab, BJP  in Goa, SP in UP, Congress in Manipur, there is no clear mandate for Uttarakhand .There will be hectic political activity for a few days towards  formation  of the Govts in the five states.
I am going for 10 day Vipassana course from tomorrow (7th).I will continue to write blog . I will place the same on the net after return on 18th.

5th March

Completed morning program. In chamber from 12 to 3pm. Attended Arbitration proceedings in the conference room of  SCOPE complex up to 6pm. Retired to sleep at 10pm.

4th March

Completed morning program. Spent Sunday reading magazines and newspapers.Shanno rang up.She is coming for post-cataract-operation eye-check-up on 16th. Pilku rang up. He told about law and order in Nigeria. He visits Nigeria quite often on work.
Exit poll results are making headlines.The elections took place in 5 states: Manipur, U.P.,Uttarakhand, Punjab & Goa. Counting will start on 6th . Results and trends thereof will also start coming the same day.

3rd March

 Completed morning program.It being a Saturday, spent the day at home reading newspapers and magazines.Venita objected to my going to Barista for coffee. She feels that it is place for younger people. I also cancelled a meeting with a lawyer at 5 pm today on her objection.There is no point in making her unhappy if i could do without coffee and conveniently postpone a meeting. I postponed meeting to 6th at 4 pm and prepared coffee in the percolator, bought from Cafe Coffee Day, made in China for Rs 275/-the other day.
ACs were serviced. One remains.It belongs to a different company.
Snow leopard was spotted in Kargil area which we passed through during our visit to Ladhak in 2009.We saw its photograph published in the newspapers. It looks all snow.

2nd March

Completed morning program. Attended a lunch at BSF Mess, organised by THE ASSOCIATION OF RETIRED SENIOR IPS OFFICERS NEW DELHI. It is organised once every year during winters.After lunch, Venita went to the Centre for Sight for a follow-up check of her eyes after OCT in the first week of January. She had been called by Dr. Dinesh Talwar after 8 weeks.
In his conversation with me, Dr. Dinesh Talwar sounded despondent as his brother, Rajesh Talwar's prayer for transfer of Arushi case from Gaziabad to Delhi had been rejected by the Supreme Court. I told him that his brother should fight out in the court of Special Judge CBI during the trial and need not feel depressed about it.

Calcutta has been painted blue by Ms Mamta Banerjee, the Chief Minister, West Bangal. Curiously,  a TMC supporter claimed that blue color was chosen because it was the color of the sky and represented limitless aspirations.
