We will show the operated eye to a panel doctor of Dr Mahipal Sachdeva on 25th Nov.at Center for Sight. 

Cataract operation on 17th Nov.at the Center for Sight,New Delhi took about 15 minutes ; first 7 minutes were spent in removing the cataract with the help of laser beams and another 7/8 minutes in placing the new lens. The process was neatly completed.

We had some sort of virtual celebration of her birthday today with Babloo/Neha/Ashat, her parents, sweet younger sister and both of us. Pilku and family could not join due to preoccupation. Dr.Caroli had last seen Venita on 7th Sept and observed that blockage of the artery had been  removed and that her heart was found to be enlarged. I searched  Google to find out what an enlarged heart was.'An enlarged heart (cardiomyopathy) isn't a disease, but rather a sign of another condition.' The walls of both sides of the heart  (also known as ventricles) become thin and stretched.'It could be due to prolonged blood pressure or genetics. Venita's blood pressure is generally normal.  Dr.Caroli does not answer many questions. He does not allow anyone to  accompany the patient. He has now prescribed 4 medicines as against 6 prescribed by him when he saw her first on 20.07.20. We are asked to see him now after 6 months with stress thallium report.

Venita felt heaviness in the the chest in the evening yesterday. I suggested we should see Dr. Caoli today. She told it was not necessary and went to Vikaspuri. She said she was feeling fine.. I checked at Vikaspuri. She said she was fine

Venita met Dr.Caroli  yesterday who said that blockade of main artery was cleared as seen in  the stress thallium report two days back (perhaps due to impact of strong medicines given to her by him for last 45 days, according to my assessment).There is normal flow of blood to heart. He further said that heart is enlarged. He has reduced her medicines by half. He has called her after 6 months. He advised her to avoid fatty food. We will discuss implications of the report with other experts. One young Doctor,whom Venita consults in Safdarjung hospital, a friend of Anand, our nephew, told that there was normal flow of blood to heart now.

Covid, quarantine were the main topics of discussion. Khyati was put on quarantine on landing at Heathrow for 14 days. She is now at Sheffield.
