Venita complained of heaviness in the operated eye. Though she is not keen for check-up , we will get her checked up  in Centre of Sight next day.
Mercury touched 45 degree in Delhi.

Centre of Sight reiterated their earlier advice on  how to take care of her operated eye,changed one eyedrop and increased frequency of another.

Visited Escorts hospital for certain tests.

Met GM , DGPC along with Sr. Advocate Vikas at Gurudwara Rakabgunj to discuss reprinting of Late Sharad Chandra Varma's book on  Guru Nanakji

Handed over a letter to GM , DGPC for reprinting and charity sale of late Sharad Chandra Varma's book on Guru Nanakji. He said that approval would be given next day.

26 and 27th May

26th (Saturday)
Arun came from Nasik to attend the 50th birthday celebration of Pramod/Anita's elder son, Pinku at Gurgaon. Pramod/Anita kept the celebration secret from Pinku and wanted to give a surprise to him. All the members of the family attended including his brother from Singapore, sister from Mumbai and cousins too. Silku came. Babloo  could not come due to sickness of Neha. The celebration took place in their new house, taken on rent at Ireo Skon Golf course extension road in Sector 60 Gurugram.
Earlier Arun looked up Neha at her house in Gurgram. Neha is recuperating after her operation at Max hospital, Saket New Delhi a few days back.
Arun stayed for the night.

27th (Sunday)
Arun went back to Nasik in the forenoon. Before leaving for the Delhi airport he met late Sashi and Lalit's families. Venita also accompanied.
From Nasik he had first gone to Hyderabad for work relating to his sons' factories and on way back made a stop-over at New Delhi to attend Pinku's birthday celebration. He always combines the professional with personal work.

Neha is discharged from the hospital. She is recuperating at her house. Venita visited her in the hospital'
Discussed reprinting of 100 copies of Late Sharad Chandra Varma's book on 'Guru Nanak and the Logos of Divine Manifestation' with Vikas, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India.
24th
Discussed preparations of  our ITRs for 2017-18 with CA and gave him requisite documents. These are to be submitted by July end.
25th
In Delhi, the property tax is calculated on the basis of Annual value method. VV comes in category 'A' colonies of New Delhi. The annual rate of house tax for Flat no A-7/2 entire first floor is fixed by the South Delhi  Municipal Corporation (SDMC) at Rs 16,611. The rate will go down as the flat becomes older. An invoice of a sum of  Rs 56,657 for 2016-17,17-18 and 18-19. was received from SDMC.  The amount includes penalty for delayed payment for 16-17 and 17-18. We faulted in payment of house tax for 16-17 and 17-18 on time.We have paid the entire amount by cheque today.

Neha is admitted in a Saket hospital today for an operation next day. We looked her up.
21st
Visited Max hospital along with Venita after check-up of her eyes at Centre for sight. Neha was already in OT. Except for some post operation minor hiccups she looked fine. She is experiencing lot of pain. She is quite weak. We prayed for her full recovery soon.
KK Saxena and family had lunch with us at VV.
Venita's operated right eye showed improvement. She is called now after two weeks for final check by Dr Mahipal Sachdeva who operated it. Dr Mahipal is the owner and MD of the Centre for Sight
22nd
Looked up Neha in Max hospital. She may be discharged next day.

Attended birthday celebrations of Shivani, Neha's elder sister, at ISCON temple in East of  Kailash, New Delhi.

Venita had a second check of her eyes today. Cataract of her right eye  was removed on 10th May.

Venita and self had anti-flue and anti-pneumonia vaccine injections at Safdurjung hospital. While anti-flue vaccine is to be taken once every year, anti-pneumonia after each six years. Anti-flue will be due next year on 15th May 2019 and anti-pneumonia on 15th May,2024.

Venita had follow-up check of her operated eye at the Centre for sight. Slight swelling was noticed.  One more drop is added. She is again called for check-up on Monday, the 14th.

Attended an interactive session on “India-Israel Relations- Current State of Play” with former Indian Ambassador, Arun Singh and Daniel Carm, present Ambassador of Israel in India at CSOI in the evening. While attending Intermediate Command course at Bramshill UK in 1980,I observed that British Police officers used to make fun of the only Jew police officer in the course. After listening to the Israeli ambassador for about 45 minutes today I understood the possible reason behind the ridicule of the Jew police officer.

Cataract was removed from Venita's right eye by laser with the help of Tecnis-1 and new lens installed today in the morning . We hope her distance vision will improve. She is prescribed five eye drops and some tablets too. She is called next day at Centre for sight for check-up.
