6th-8th June

On 6th completed morning program. Visited Ajit Singh for repairs to Venita's specs. Thereafter, to CGHS. In Chamber from 12.15- 3.15 pm. GBS Sidhu dropped in. It was agonizing to know that his wife was suffering from cancer. A small tumor was detected in the vein carrying blood to the heart. They have removed a part of the vein and replaced it by another. It was detected after ultra-sound of her abdomen. She had been complaining of weakness in walking for quite some time. GBS also had problem of prostrate enlargement. My late father-in-law had checked about me from GBS who was a UP Carder Officer of the IPS. It is after checking with him he had met me and settled he daughter's marriage with me. GBS has, therefore, a special space in my life. I felt quite bad about his wife's and his own sickness. Picked up Tarun from Sukhdev Vihar. He along with his wife, visited us and after dinner left back to his son by metro to Sukhdev Vihar, a DDA Colony, behind Escorts hospital building.
On 7th, accompanied Venita to a mall in Rajouri Garden. She exchanged VIP suitcase of red color by a purple one. Had costa coffee. Venita bought some clothes.
On 8th, visited Safdurganj hospital. Doctor Puri, a skin specialist, saw Venita and gave some medicines to relieve itching on the left leg. Visited CGHS for medicines and thereafter, Sector-12 market in RK Puram. Could not meet Bablu as he was busy in a meeting. Visited Centre for Sight. Venita's eyes were checked by Doctor Dinesh Talwar. Doctor Talwar has asked me to come again on Sunday, the 12th. He wants to check Venita's eyes again before we leave for London on 13th. I told him if it was at all necessary. He insisted that he would like to see her before we go to London on 14th. It appeared to us that he wanted us to go there on a Sunday so that he could talk to us in details about Arushi Murder case. He is the brother of Rajesh Talwar who is accused in the case. I will again ask him on 12th to exempt us from going to him for a further check up of Venita's eyes. Venita visited South extension market and shopped around. I had costa coffee. Pilku has arranged air-tickets ostensibly against points, but somehow I feel that he has paid over 2 and half lakhs for them. Neither he is telling me nor the travel agent is telling anything. He has already taken big loans and paying interests against them. I wouldn't like him to pay anything for my tickets. Anyway, I have decided to take a fixed deposit of an amount equal to the cost of tickets jointly with him. Retired to sleep at 11.15 pm.

He was quite analytical and advocated stricter laws for control over terrorism. He tried to have the same in London but did not have his way due to opposition by human rights groups. We played hide and seek, search-a-thing in a room, painting and sketching. Venita bought a puzzle for him from a Rajouri Garden Mall where she had gone along with Neha. She did shopping for about Rs. 10,000. At 4.30, Babua said he would go because he had to reach Palms Court Club for swimming. He left at 5.00 pm. Retired to sleep at 10.30 pm.

31st May & 1st June

On 31st completed morning program. Visited Safdarjung hospital. Driver went & gave 'Spice', supplement of India Today dated 6th June to Poonam. The supplement contains a write-up on where & how to visit different places in Macau. She is going to Macau for a holiday with her family. She helps me in getting endorsements for treatment in the CGHS approved centers from the consultants. But for her health it would be difficult to get to the consultants due to crowding of patients in the OPD. I had also sent one such supplement earlier. In the chambers from 12.30-2.30pm.On way back visited Hanuman temple in Chanakyapuri area. The temple was closed as it opens at 3pm,& I reached there at 2.45pm.I saw the deity through the caged door. Some could not even be seen. Venita went to Rajouri garden malls to buy some gifts for Abhishree & Amolikaa.
Sh.Atiar spoke & said that I should not mind closure of the case by the client, jointly handled by me with him, that they had paid us well & that we had to go by the advice of the client.I said that what I had minded was the sudden closure of the case by the client without discussing with us.I further told him that I did not take up cases where I found that the client had done wrong things & that money was never a consideration.I further told that I took up cases to ensure that the client got justice & was not harassed by any agency or during their trials.I further told that I had refused to take up cases where I thought the clients were on the wrong side and indulged in corruption or any other criminal activity. But when I took up a case I tried my best so that the client got justice. The case in hand, jointly handled with Sh.Atiar, is closed without its final disposal by the authority. It worries me because the authority concerned may decide to pursue it to the great detriment of the client resulting in perpetration of injustice in the long run. But as it is closed by the client now I have nothing more to do.
On 1st June visited Center for Sight.Venita was given Avastin injection in the right eye at about 12.30pm. We could come away from there at 4.30pm to home. Retired to sleep at about 11.15pm.
