The Hindu-Muslim riots in North-east Delhi,according to an assessment,followed a speech by Shri Pathan,MIM leader a few days back as single main factor. He had stated in his speech that 15 crore Muslims could take care of 100 crore others of India. Cases have been registered in UP and Andhra Pradesh against  him. He is not yet put behind bar.  Apart from that, constant invocations of opposition parties including Congress against CAA (a law passed by Indian parliament),support to Shahinbagh blockade and inept police administration also  contributed to mayhem of shootings, arson, deaths and destruction of properties. I an inclined to agree with the assessment. All should make sincere efforts to bring back harmony, peace and restore normal life.

Police Admiration was criticized for inept handling of law and order in Delhi by Supreme court. 30 are counted dead so for. As a former police officer I felt that CP should  have led his force from the front.  The situation appears to be under control.

Abhay and his wife called on today. It is their first visit to us after marriage. They came with a beautiful bouquet of  flowers and lots of fruits.
A TOI front page news today says that thousands of Japanese are making smooth transition from Zen to Jainism. Zen is a form of Buddhism.

After Abhishek on Shivratri, Venita returned VV from Vikas Puri, in the evening today. She intended to stay at Vikaspuri tonight. She came back because she was expecting some guests next day.
Supreme court interlocutors continued efforts to persuade  the Saheen Bagh agitators to shift to other place to facilitate the movement of the traffic in the nearby areas. Agitators  have not yet agreed to shift to some other place.

Venita went to local Santana Mandir and joined in a session of devotional songs.

On a petition of local residents of the area surrounding Sahinbagh, Supreme court ordered authorities to give alternate place for protest so that traffic flow was not affected and business activities could go on. Two Advocates are designated to contact the protesters for the purpose.

Took Venita to Centre for sight for check of her new spectacles, acquired after cataract operation. She found difficulty in reading which was expected to be effortless. They promised to remake, change the grasses. Provided KYC details to an agent of PayTm at our residence.

Barun's daughter Mishti is getting married on 6th May. We are asked to reach Nashik on 5th for other ceremonies. We propose to reach a day earlier to settle down for hectic schedule of engagements. In loud thinking a visit to Vandna's place in North Bombay is also thought of on way back.
Neha visited along with Akshat. Babloo joined on way back from office.
Kejriwal's oath taking as CM Delhi took place with big fanfare.

At last Venita got her Samsung mobile phone. She is quiet happy about it. After bitter arguments with management for replacement of Redmi phone with Samsung we got Samsung phone today.

We went to Croma center to buy a Samsung phone for Venita. The saleswoman surreptitiously packed Redmi phone in place Samsung phone. When we came back home the maid pointed out  that we had been given Redmi phone and not Samsung phone. We rang up saleswoman  to ask her how she gave Redmi phone and not Samsung as asked for by us. She said that we had chosen Redmi phone. We said that we had selected a Samsung phone. We told her that this was not desirable and that we would make a complaint to the management

Samsung service centre informed that drum of Venita's mobile phone was dysfunctional. It needed  replacement. The 'drum' is a hardware. Its cost is almost half the cost of a new mobile. We decided to go for a new.

Took Venita to Center for Sight. Doctor MS Sachdeva who operated her cataract made final check and said that she could take the prescribed glasses.

On a petition by the affected neighbours of Shabinbagh of Delhi due to blocking of road near Noida and Sarita Vihar, Supreme court issued notices to Delhi and Central governments before passing the orders for their clearance.

Final results of Delhi elections will come on 11th instant. These are likely to be along the exit-polls lines. BJP thinks these will be in their favour.

Voting took place for Delhi elections today. After casting votes we went to Hyatt Regency for a cup of coffee.We are members o Hyatt Regency club.

Venita returned from Vikaspuri yesterday.in the evening.
Prime Minister replied to comments on President's address in the joint session of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha during last few days. It is hailed by the media. He replied pointwise on all issues. No voting took place as opposition walked out at the end of debate before vote.
Exit polls will start beaming after 5 pm.

Venita was to go from Vikaspuri to attend on Sangita as requested by Tarun at Defence colony hospital at the next session of chemotherapy. I sent car. It was postponed to Monday.
In a major step towards building Ram temple,formation of trust was announced by PM in Indian Parliament .5 acres were allotted to Muslims for mosque by the UP Govt as ordained by the Supreme court.
Today is the last day of canvassing for Delhi polls .No canvasing is permitted on the day prior to the day of poll which is scheduled on 8th. Feb.
The Minister Railways and Commerce Goel was to address a meeting near the park in front of our house. As it got much delayed, I did not attend it.

Cast vote in VV society elections. Venita selected candidates to be voted. She could not go to vote as she was indisposed.
