Got medical insurance from 30th June to 20th July to cover our overseas visit. Venita visited Dr Prasad and family at Dwarka. Today was Dr Prasad's birthday too. We wished him many happy returns of the day.
29th
Emirates will pick us up at about 12.45 am on 30th June from our home at VV and reach Terminal 3 of Indra Gandhi International airport to catch EK 513 flight at about 4.15 am after completion of check-in formalities.

Collected Passport from UK Visa office in Shivaji stadium. Ajay has fixed our journey to London by Emirates on 30th June at 4.15 am from Delhi. We reach London same day at 2.05 pm. We will return Delhi on 19th July at 09.05 am.

24th(Sunday)
Venita went out for shopping regarding overseas visit shortly.
25th
We hope to get visa today/tomorrow, according to travel agent.
26th
UK Visas and Immigration have sent my passport to Visa application centre. I have to collect it next day between 10 am to 6 pm. Ajay is on the job to get us a flight on any day between Thursday to weekend.

21st,22nd and 23rd June

21st
Barun came from Dehradun. His daughter followed. They came to take delivery of their visa from Italian embassy. The family is going to Rome, Venice and couple of other places in Italy for 8/9 days.We had sumptuous lunch together at VV, too much on a hot day. Bina is joining them on 22nd June. They will all go on 24th.
22nd
Due to heavy lunch yesterday, had a disturbed night. I had to recite Gayatri mantra for about a couple of hours from about 12.45 am to about 2.30 am before I could sleep. We should always have light meals.
23rd
Observed Ekadasi fast. Attended the Executive Committee meeting of Arsipso followed by lunch.
 Accompanied by Babloo,Neha and Akshat, we went to join many over dinner at Delhi Gymkhana club in connection with first birthday celebration of Anand's daughter. A cute creation of nature. Her father was also like her at her age. A photo taken on the occasion :

18,19 and 20th June

18th
Wrote to Bramshill police collage,UK for a visit between 25th June and 14th July.
19th 
Wrote to BBC for participation in Home/Overseas programs enclosing CV if convenient and possible.
20th 
The visa for UK is not yet received. Application for visa was filed online on 5th June. Appointment to appear before UK Visas and Immigration was given for 7th. Walked in one day earlier on 6th and submitted documents. You can walk in earlier on payment of Rs 2500+.
It was informed that I could expect information about visa after 12 working days. By that calculation it should come by 22nd. Let us hope it will come by then.

15,16 and 17th June

15th
Babloo,Neha,Neha's elder sister Shivani and Akshat came. It was refreshing to spend some time with them.
16th
Preparations to pack for journey to Pilku started for a 20 day stay in London shortly. Venita already has visa. I expect to receive it within a day or two. Air booking will be done only after receipt of visa. Pilku has got / bought Wimbledon tennis pre-quarter final match tickets for three days from neighbourhood quota. He is entitled to them as he lives next to Wimbledon courts/stadium. We hope to watch them in company of children.
17th
Noon temperature at Delhi was 36 degree with widespread dust. It was quite pleasant in the morning, good walk for me. Venita had gone to shop for London visit.

14 June

Tata sky  connection is functional without interruption. Venita returned VV in the evening.

Abhishree was born today (14.06.2002 ) at 6.55 pm GMT (11.25 IST  ) at Wellington, South West London, UK, 16 years back. We spoke to her and blessed her on 16th birthday. She is now at an important threshold of life. Parents should guide her so that she achieves the best in life and does not fall prey to evil company.

11.12 and 13th June

11th
Babloo's blood report sent by Neha indicates use of much saturated fats. Venita has suitably advised him.
12th
Due to a technical glitch Tata sky connection was dysfunctional since 9 pm yesterday. The visiting Tata sky engineer found the socket connecting a wire to the TV was found filled with liquid. It happened due to extreme atmospheric heat which melted gel inside it. The visiting tech dried it up with a napkin and the TV started working.
13th
The TV is having interruptions. If you move one wire slightly it starts working. But it stops after sometime. You have to move it again to work. Tata Sky will have to check it for correction The same problem is noticed in TV at Vikaspuri too.
The Tata sky team came and corrected the line. It appears that some joint at the disk on top of the building had rusted. It was cleaned. The engineer said that there won't be interruptions now.

7,8,9 and 10th June

Could not complete the process to get some foreign currency for our visit to Pilku this month. Compared to foreign banks we still follow the archaic procedures which, I feel, delay the matter. We should review them and emulate the banks in developed countries. The Chief Manager said that the procedures had been stringent after PNB scam.
8th
Final check of Venita's eyes took place at Centre for  sight. She has improved vision.. Dr.Mahipal Singh, CMO of Centre of sight and DR. Dinesh Talwar, reputed ophthalmologist on retina, examined  her eyes and prescribed eyedrops for future.
9th (Saturday)
Venita left for Vikaspuri for some Puja and will be back to VV after 2 to 3 days.
10th (Sunday)
Observed Ekadasi fast today.

Venita went to Guru-gram to look up recuperating Neha. She also met Silku and children.

Compiled papers to apply for UK Visa.

Deposited papers for UK Visa with UK Visas & Immigration office at Shivaji Stadium Metro Station, Connaught Place. Mentioned the date of departure to London on 25th June. We hope to get it before 25th June.

Very hot day.
1st
Tarun came with his family to stay with us for a couple of days at VV.
The DGPC concurred with our request for reprinting of late SC Varma's book on Guru Nanakji. It can now be put in market for charity sale.
2nd (Saturday)
Tarun and family went back to the flat of their second son at Gurugram in the afternoon. He will go on an excursion to France (Paris and Nice) on Monday night and return after a week. They have booked ABR accommodation. He said that he would come to stay with us again.
3rd (Sunday)
Venita visited her late uncle's family living with her daughter, Jaya. Aunt is over 90. Jaya who is a RPF officer lives in official quarter on Pachkuina road  near Connaught  place.
