In the Supreme court in the afternoon. Venita experiences pain in the chest whenever she is exposed to cold. It has happened for the last two days while she went for walk in the park near our house. I discussed the issue with doctor in the CGHS today. He advised hot fomentation for relief. Told Vetita.

Took Venita to dentist and later to Fortis for change of diabetes medicine. She is to go to Fortis after recording sugar levels for ten days at different times.

Shiva Mohan went back to Fatehpur yesterday. Before going back he remonstrated that he needed more money amounting to 3/4 lakhs for his daughter's wedding when Venita said that she could not give that much. I was not happy with the his high pitch and demand. In turn he remonstrated with me too. I told Venita not to indulge  him.
A pro-Pak lobby in EU is likely to move a resolution against CAA. It is reported that majority of  EU members will not support it.

Venita went to Vikaspuri in the morning for affairs of the Society temple. She has abiding interest in them. We will keep Vikaspuri establishment as long as her interest in temple affairs sustains.

Attended Meghalaya day celebration at Meghalaya House. Governor of Meghalaya also attended. Met quite a few officers of Assam-Meghalaya cadre.

Took Venita to Center for sight for a second check of her operated left eye. She has been asked to come again after 2 weeks for further check.

Attended launching of a book by Sri Ajay Sahni ,a compilation of essays by eminent authors including international  on terrorism wherein late Gill is quoted, by a panel comprising of  Shekar Gupta, ex-BBC correspondent Jakub and Sri Mull, late Gill's nephew at IIC in the evening.  Ajay Sahini is Gill's son-in-law.

Vikaspuri house' one bedroom (named after Pilku) was flooded by overflowing cooler tank of the flat just above ours belonging to Shri VP Singh who is with his son in USA these days. Part of the gallery is also flooded. Our Bengali neighbour informed us. Venita sent Siva Mohan and Thapa to Vikaspuri to clean up the room/gallery. It appears seepage had continued for quite sometime.The accumulated water had turned into mud. It was cleaned  up by the duo. The plumber de-commissioned the cooler tank.

JNU students said that they would not join the classes unless VC was transferred.

Visited Centre of sight. In absence of Dr.MS Sachdeva ,Dr Prateek Toetia  reviewed the progress of healing of the wound caused after cataract operation yesterday. He remarked good progress had been made and told Venita to come after a week for further/final review.

Venita's cataract operation is done. Babloo/Neha came. Neha was present during the operation and thereafter too. She stayed on till 4 pm and administered first doses of all medicines.

Took Venita for ECG to Lallpath hospital at Vasantkunj. In is required by Centre for sight before her  cataract operation on 13th instant. A number of blood tests have also been done.
The Supreme court on a petition to declare CAA constitutional has observed that country was passing though difficult times. In the meantime the Central Government has also prayed  before the court to call for all petitions pending in HCs and hear them together to avoid conflict decisions among them.

Completed formalities for availing of Babloo's coy's medical cover for Venita's cataract  operation. Upto 3/4th expenses are likely to be met by insurance co. CMO CGHS tells me that i could lay claim for the balance to CGHS. Position will be clear within a day or two.
Sporadic demonstrations on fights in JNU campus demanding action against hooligans continued.
