Completed morning program. Akshat was born today at 9.57 am. He is 8. According to Indian calender, he was born on Friday, Navmi, at 9.57 am of  Aswin's Krishnapaksh,Vikram Samvat 2063. It was also Shradh paksh during the period. It corresponded to Gregorian calender's 15th September 2006. It is a traditional Hindu belief that ancestors take births during the Shradh paksh in families. 
Early morning we prayed for his long, healthy and happy life. Venita did Puja in the Society temple and distributed sweets to all. We joined in the celebration at Gugaon in the evening. As Akshat extinguished the 8 tiny lights and cut the cake at a 32 miles restaurant, all of us,men,women and children (about 25) sang 'Happy Birthday' to him. We blessed him.

On Saptami of Shradh paksh, i did 'Tarpan' for all our ancestors today. My father went to his heavenly abode on Saptami.
