14th Sept

Completed morning program. Spent the day reading magazines and newspapers.
I had read Chanakya Niti when i was in class 6/7 and memorised a good number of its Slokas at the instance my late father. He had promised to give me 'Pichkari' worth Rs 2/-to sprinkle colour during Holi if I could memorise all the slokas. I was disappointed to think that i would not get it as i was unable to memorise all. But he bought and gave me one. I was thrilled to throw colours through it. I was of the age of Amolikaa, my granddaughter, or may me a little more. I matriculated in less than fourteen and a half years. Things have now changed so much. My grandchildren can buy a toy worth more than Rs 10000/- without any precondition. God bless them  with more prosperity and happiness.
Chanakya quotes (Indian politician, strategist and writer (350 BC-275BC)
"Treat your kid like a darling for the first five years. For the next five years, scold them. By the time they turn sixteen, treat them like a friend. Your grown up children are your best friends.
Retired to sleep at about 11 pm.
