Attended an interactive session on India- China relations at CSOI post Wuhan visit of the Indian PM . During the session His Excellency Luo Zhaohui, Chinese Ambassador talked about the Chinese perspectives and former Indian Ambassador to China Ashok Kantha of the Indian perspectives on the subject. The Chinese ambassador spoke about Chinese linkages with India due to Buddhism, Bollywood,Darjeeling tea and people to people contacts since ancient times etc.,Indian ambassador dwelt on Doclam ,Trade deficit, border, support to Pakistan's Hafiz Saeed, tension in Indo-Pacific region etc.. While Chinese ambassador was diplomatic in reacting to Indian assertions, Indian ambassador was forthright in his comments. It was an interesting session for about one and half an hour.
Also attended Lohri celebration.
13th (Sunday)
Venita attended A block Lohri celebration in the park in front of our building at VV. There was Lohri celebration in A block club also on Paschim Marg. We did not go there as the driver had taken half day off for personal work.
