8th April

Completed morning program.Today is Ram Naomi, birth anniversary of Shri Ram. Recited my favourite Chaupais and Dohas of Tulsi Krit Ram Charit Manas from the book, read by us and our parents. at Fatehpur. When i was reading them today, my eyes brimmed, throat chocked and every pore elated. I recite these when i wake up in the night and cannot sleep sometime due to one reason or the other.  I remember that my father very often recited the last of the Dohas of Uttarkand. His eyes would very often be wet during recitation. The reading of any Chaupai/Doha of the book is soothing.
Pilku reached  Athens with his family yesterday for a week. Grandchildren are having holidays. They are staying in Hotel Grande Bretagne. There is a direct view of the Acropolis from Pilku's room. He is contemplating to give an assignment to grandchildren ' to do a writeup of three historic cities they have visited, Cairo, Rome and now Athens.' I would request him to share the same with me too. They climbed to Acropolis during the day.
Retired to sleep at  about 11.15 pm.

I agree. At our age we are our own guide.
