Cutting cake on 47th Wedding Anniversary at the Trident Hotel

Ananya told us that Franjipani was none other than our 'Champa'
flower. (The name 'Ananaya' was suggested by me to Pilku/Ruchi for their first daughter but they named her 'Abhishree' instead. Ananya is one of the 108 names of Goddess Parvati. I selected it after a good deal of research. My father had suggested 'Raghvendra Sharan' for Pilku. I named him Amitabh instead. History repeated itself in rejection by Pilku/Ruchi. After the episode,i did not venture to suggest any names to the children. Later when i found that Devika/Rajiv had coincidentally named their daughter 'Ananya' i felt quite happy and elated.) She has good knowledge of flora. As it was our 47th wedding anniversary, they came with flowers and gifts. The hotel G.M. sent a big cake and a bouquet of red roses. These were brought by a pretty female staff accompanied by some others. All of them joined in clapping and wishing after Venita extinguished single tiny candle light in the center of chocolate  cake. Devika's children enjoyed the ceremony most in a gathering of 11 people besides 5/6 hotel staff. After seeing off others, we went for a walk along Marine drive beach with Anand, his wife Shivali and their cute child, Anya who will be 2 this month. Shivali has pleasing manners. Everyone enjoyed food much.
Earlier  we had lunch along with a friend at DeOberoi's Jia restaurant. Hotel staff had brought a cake there too to cut to celebrate the wedding anniversary. The news of our anniversary had spread in the corridors of the two hotels.
Retired to sleep at about 11 pm.
15th
Visited Siddhivinayak temple. Did Puja and prayed for happiness of the family.

Venita bought and offered laddoos to Lord Ganesh, believed to be relished by Him. She left the packet somewhere on way back to the car, escorted by a couple of Policemen on temple duty. She, however, found some laddoos in a carry bag given by the temple management. She brought them to Delhi to give to children.
