Completed Morning program. Attended birthday celebration of Alaynah, our youngest grand child . She is three today. She received me at the inner and Khyati at the outer gate of their house.
I told if i could take her in my arms. She said, 'No. I am 3 today'. Her mother placed four candles for her to enkindle on the day. I asked Ritsy as to why she had kept four candles for Alaynah to enkindle. She said that one was for her entry into the fourth year of her life. The candles were as big as their enkindler. As soon as she lighted the candles, all of us sang Happy Birthday to her.
Her immediate elder cousin sister , Amolikaa had sent pre-recorded flute tune with notes of Happy Birthday from London followed by singing of the same by her along with her elder sister, Abhishree. It was played by Silku to us. Akshat, her cousin brother, is in Mumbai with his parents, Babloo/Neha, who went there to visit Sirdi, a couple of days back.
Alaynah cut the cake and all of us shared it along with other delicious snacks. Shri Mundrey, Alaynah's maternal grandfather, gave me a couple of cups of Chinese and Ceylon ese tea. The Chinese tea was of special kind. Its leafs blew up in hot water to the size of Ne-em leafs.
Alaynah's Mausi was taken by surprise when Alaynah complained to her that she had not wished her 'Happy Birthday'. It was a fact. She had joined the party after the lighting of candles and cutting of cake. She was in the house. But as she was pre-occupied in some important official work, she joined the celebration a bit late.
All of us joined her Mausi in singing Happy Birthday to Alaynah a second time. The Birthday girl enjoyed a second singing of Happy Birthday to her. She had put on pink frock with a pink flower tucked in her hair on the right frontal side. The dress was gifted by her Mausi. Although she had suffered quite a few bouts of fever recently (hitting even upto 1o6 degree one day), but even then she looked cute. May she be blessed with good health. I have suggested to Silku not to send her to play-well school on all 5 days of the week. She has to remain there from 8 am to 1 pm. It is too much for her age.

Went for 45 minute walk. Some people are celebrating Raksha bandhan today. The courts are closed. In Government Offices, quite a good number of employees have taken restricted lave for the day. But due to Bhadra nakshtra, a large number of people are not celebrating it today and will observe it tomorrow. We will also celebrate it tomorrow. In chamber from 1.30 4.45 pm.
