50th anniversary

While we see our 50th anniversary celebration (spread over on 27th Feb,12 to 14th March) in retrospect, it is noticed that quite a few relatives and others joined in it. On 27th  Feb we did Mahabhishek of Lord Shiva in a very old temple at Kurukshetra. It is said that Arjun did it here after victory in Mahabharat war; we did it to express our gratitude to Him for the golden day.Sunanda came from Nashik on 11th to help and participate in the celebration. On 12th March Satyanarain Puja and Havan were arranged at Vikaspuri. Pramod /Anita, Subhash /Sunita, Neha along with 6 of the invited guests of the society also came. Distributed Prasad to about 20 people. We had lunch after havan. 13th was programed exclusively for Sbhash's family in which his wife, son, daughter, their spouses and grandson, Mrs Johari, Rajat's mother enjoyed high tea in the evening along with us and Sunanda. Kaushal came from Jaipur with family. He is quite sick.  On 14th we did Puja in ISCON temple at East of Kailash, followed by lunch.  17 people incuding Pramod/Anita.,Subhash/Sunita, Babloo/Neha, Neha's mother/ Neha and her elder sister,Barun/Bina/Mishti, Pradeep, Sunanda, Tarun/Sangita,Mrs Prasad joined in along with us. In the evening we had dinner with Tarun/Sangita ,Anand/Prachi,Kaushal/Gauri/ Neha/Babloo /Neha's elder sister, Mrs./Mr. Prasad and Akshat ,our grandson.
4 grandchildren could not come due to exam., two sons and daughters-in-law could not attend due to professional engagements. None of the sisters, brother-in-law (younger sister's husband) and their children came due to one reason or the other. Mundres could not come. They sent bouquet of beautiful flowers. We exchanged gifts on the occasion.
We have planned to invite friends, other cousins and relatives on 26 or 27 August when we hold dinner in penultimate celebration of the the golden day.
May like to click to see album, prepared by Subhash on the occasion :
