13th Feb

Completed morning program.Visited Aurvedic CGHS dispensary. As the CMO was not there, other MOS could not make endorsement on the prescription for indenting the prescribed medicines. Will have to visit it again. Took medicines from CGHS (alopathic) for Venita for cold. In chamber from 1.30 to 4 pm. Bought some  first flush Darjeeling tea from Mittal stores in Sunder Nagar. The owner said that there were 75/76 tea estates in Darjeeling Dist of W.B.. Tea of each garden had a different flavor.Plucking of tea leaves takes place thrice in a year  during spring, summer and winter. Pluck of spring is known as First Flush Tea ,summer second flush and winter third flush. First flush is considered the best. Some like second flush while others like the third flush depending upon individual choices.I prepared a mug full from the tea I bought. I liked the flavor.I prepared it as per the directions of the owner of the shop. One gram (one tea spoon) tea is to be   brewed in a cup of hot water of  90 degree temperature(after boiling, wait for one minute for water to cool down.It will come down to 90 degree ) for 2 minutes and taken after filtering it without milk or sugar. Thus taken, tea will give its natural flavor. Tea taken with sugar or milk loses its anti-oxidant content.
News of the day and joke for children :A research paper by Dr.Gabor Horwath of Evotvos university in Budapest, published in the Journal of Experimental Biologyj has come to a conclusion that stripes are a sophisticated form of fly repellent. They prefer horizontal polarized light. The research points out that possibly, the mostly vertical stripes on a zebra confuse the fly's tiny brain and thus stop it seeing the animal. The flies go to the horses but not to zebra.Watch a horse and a zebra in a zoo and you will see this phenomenon.
Teacher to Michael :If someone beats a donkey and I go to stop him,  what would you call it?
Michael : Brotherhood.
Retired to sleep at 10 pm.
