Completed morning program.
Subhash/Sunita arranged a Diwali get together at a Gurgaon restaurant. Each one ordered his Choice food. Subhash took the orders. In the end gifts were exchanged. A couple of photographs taken by Babloo on the occasion are given below :

Visited DD Motors at Mayapuri. Venita accompanied to South Delhi and went to Dilli hat for Diwali shopping. In the Supreme court from from 2.15 to 3b.45 pm. Karvachouth is observed today.

Visited IIPA and SBI. In the Supreme court from about 2 to 4.30 pm.

I visited CSOI yesterday. I was amazed to see a row of vehicles, parked on both sides of the narrow road when you enter it from Chanakyapuri colony side upto CSOI entry and exit gates. You have to slow down and drive through to avoid touching/crashing against them These appear to be vehicles of Delhi Police Security branch. The vehicles could safely be parked in the parking space nearby. Apart from making the road narrower, these vehicles give the area a congested look of a slum and dent over-all good appearance of the club. I suggested to the GM CSOI to approach the DOPT to consider writing to the Commissioner of  Police Delhi to prevent such parkings.

I also suggested to the GM CSOI to request the manufacturers of elevators in use in the club building to lighten the digits to easily decipher them inside the elevators for the benefit of senior citizen members above 70.

Completed morning program.

We visited Sri Lanka for a week during Christmas last year. On 29th we traveled from Habrana to Kandy. On way we visited Matale Spice garden and bought two bottles of Syrup (Honey mixed with herbs ) STOFFWECHSEL ANREGEND along with other items. We wish to buy some more. It has proved good for Venita's type 2 diabetes. Went to Sri Lanka High Commission. They told me to write to their Minister (Commercial). Accordingly, I sent an e-mail to Sri Lanka High Commission to give the e-mail id of Matale Spice garden shop or their postal address so that we could place order for the purchase or guide us as to how to go about the matter.

Visited CSOI. In the Supreme court from about 2 to 4.30 pm.

Naive outburst of Arun Shourie yesterday during launch of a book against Modi government calls for introspection by both Shourie and the government. Is it because he is not given importance by Modi govt as alleged by a Union Minister or some other reason ? Some one has to find out the truth.
In the Supreme court from 1.30 to 4 pm. Visited CGHS and SBI too.

Completed morning program. Venita accompanied me to South Delhi. She visited Dilli hat for Diwali shopping.

Met Mrs Ramesh Chandra in CSOI and discussed her case now pending in the High court. She had come there with two other ladies, wives of retired IAS officers of Assam-Meghalaya cadre and her unmarried daughter, Ranju for lunch. They invited me join them over lunch. I regretted.

Completed morning program. Spent the day reading magazines and newspapers.
Munna sent me a write-up on current Punjab chaotic law and order situation. It gave me an idea of problem in Punjab. It is good it is subsiding. Some sheets of Quran are found in some places in the country. The developments appear to be part of conspiracy to cause communal problem. We should guard against any such eventuality and help the state, in whatever way we can, for up-keeping public order.

Completed morning program. Abhay had minor surgery in his eyes. Venita visited him in Shroff eye hospital. The operation done without hassles.
Babloo/Neha/Akshat went on a holiday to Agra.

Completed morning program.
Dashehra is celebrated today. It is believed that Ram came to Ayodhya, his birth place and kingdom, today after winning Lankan war. Venita celebrates it with great fervor. She got big flower-garlands for the idols in the temple and sweets for distribution to all. In fact she herself was born on Dashehra day according to Hindu panchang. Her brothers, sisters while together in the family, used to tease her that Ravan had taken birth in her. But instead of Ravan raj she has enforced Ram raj in the family. I wished her in the morning for good health and long life.
