 Attended a meeting in the office of the Association of Retired Senior IPS Officers to draft a memorandum to the Union Health Minister on CGHS related issues arising out of a recent circular of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare permitting  issuance of only generic medicines. CGHS beneficiaries can now be issued only generic medicines.They have to buy other medicines which are not in the CGHS list..
Attended another meeting at IIC along with Advocate Atiar Singh Dey in connection with the case of Mrs Ramesh Chandra.

Completed morning program. Spent the day reading magazines and newspapers. Bought Air tickets  to go to Hyderabad on 13th Oct to attend a two day Seminar. The same is being organised on the  occasion of Golden Jubilee of 1964 batch of IPS at the National Police Academy. Will return on 16th and later go to Fatehpur for Deepawali on 18th Oct for over a week. Venita will visit her brother also at Allahabad for a couple of days during the period.
