Completed morning program.
Met the interior designer in his workshop at Okhla for a couple of hours and discussed revision of certain designs. Venita explained her points. On way back visited CSOI.
Due to even-odd rule, there are less number of vehicles on the roads. Definite information about the impact of it on pollution levels is not available.

Completed morning program.
As it was day for odd-number vehicles, i could not move out.  I did bank work. Collected bank statements as requested by the Chartered Accountant. Talked to the interior designer for some changes in furnishings. We propose to meet him tomorrow.

Completed morning program.
Visited CGHS and SBI. Venita did shopping for Pilku's first floor flat in A7/2. Met interior designer and discussed some changes/additions in furnishings. On way back home, went to CSOI for a cup of tea.

5th Jan

Completed morning program.
Ruchi's PAN card is received today. I hope that the TDS, deducted from Uppal's bills has, been deposited. If not, it should be done before/by 7th Jan to save more penalties. Spoke to the interior designer. As it was the day for odd number vehicles, could not go to the Supreme Court. As nothing important was pending , did not hire a cab. Had to hire one yesterday as Venita took the car to  Gugaon to join Neha on her birthday.
Observed Ekadasi fast today. It is quite refreshing during/after fast.

Completed morning program.
In the Supreme court from about 1.30 to 3.30 pm. Venita went to Gurgaon and joined Neha on her birthday. In the morning she did puja in the society temple at Vikaspuri, New Delhi, distributed sweets to all.  Neha, our youngest daughter-in-law, was born today in 1973, 10.16 pm at Kota, Rajasthan, corresponding to Amavashya of Paush, Krishnapaksha, Thursday, Samvat, 2029. She is 43. We wished her a healthy, happy, long and prosperous life.
Gita, our niece, elder sister's daughter , was also born today. We wished her 'Happy birthday'.

Talked to interior designer and suggested some changes in the formulations, agreed to earlier. Venita went to the markets in search of kitchenware. Attack of Pathankote airbase by terrorists is discussed in all Indian news channels.

Completed morning program.
Barun and family had lunch with us at CSOI. They gave us sweets and requested to bless their first grandchild....Met Arvind, the interior designer. Will talk to him next day details of the cost of project. Visited A7/2. Venita took measurements of kitchen shelves to buy containers fitting them...Met Vinay Prakash, youngest son of late Naresh Bhaisaheb, and family who had come from Fatehpur to meet their daughter at Delhi.She is being coached for JEE.

A number of phone calls wishing, 'Happy New Year', kept us busy in the morning. Gopalji, our younger brother-in-law, talked on various issues, professional, personal and other miscellaneous matters for quite sometime ; generally he is curt and brief in his conversation. Many sms and e-mails were also received.
